Here is some useful information about things to do during your stay at Dievole.
One of the crowning elements of our hospitality is surely the sensory experience related to our food offerings. Breakfast alone boasts a refined selection of delicacies from the best Tuscan producers; according to the season, you can enjoy your meal in the elegant rooms of Le Scuderie, with its arches and floor-to-ceiling windows, or outside on the panoramic terrace in the Rose Garden, where you can look out over the Chianti hills.
At Dievole, you can also enjoy a cocktail at our lounge bar or feast on a delicious lunch in the evocative Giardino del Tasso, in the shade of the centuries-old tree that gives the garden its name. Then there is dinner, which you can enjoy at our elegant, gourmet restaurant, Novecento. Upon request and on specific days of the week, guests can also reserve a pleasant evening barbeque or dine in the charming rooms of the historic wine cellar.
Amongst the recreational activities Dievole offers its guests, the Wine Tours are certainly a must. There are four tours to choose from, all designed with the aim of introducing our guests to a 360° view of our wine products, our philosophy of work and our lifestyle. All the tours can be booked online. The Dievole Wine Tasting Tour is dedicated to guests who would like to learn more about our eco-friendly approach, respectful of the environment, the terroir and the characteristics of the grapes on the vines and in the cellar, ending with a glass of the result. The Extra-Virgin Olive Oil Tasting is designed for lovers of “green gold,” introducing our production method and offering a taste of the whole, fragrant line of our award-winning products. The Gourmet Picnic Tour is perfect for those, basket in hand, who would like to enjoy a delicious meal out amongst the vineyards and olive groves. For anyone looking for a total experience, we recommend the Dievole Grand Tour, a detailed guided visit to the vineyards that best represent the company and our elegant wine cellar, wrapping up with a sensational finale that includes a tasting of the best of Tuscany’s terroirs: Chianti Classico, Montalcino and Bolgheri.
For those who bask in outdoor activities, we are always proud to offer our Natural Path, over 27 km of white roads and trails, all marked with appropriate signage, that wind through Dievole’s property, crossing vineyards, olive groves, woods and streams; you can enjoy the Path by foot or on bike, discovering the landscape and its unique elements, like the pietra serena quarry from the 15th century CE, a sulphur deposit and an old aqueduct from the 18th century.
The narrowest route in the circuit is the “percorso vita,” a true open-air gym with equipment and tools found in peaceful and panoramic areas, dedicated to anyone looking to stay fit even while on vacation.
One of the relaxing and fun activities guests can do is an exciting tour on horseback or in a carriage, available only upon advance reservation and on specific days of the week; the tour winds through some of the most evocative and wild stretches of the Natural Path. And while we’re suggesting things to do in Dievole, how can we not include the total relaxation guests can experience at our two pools, located in panoramic areas of the village?
