Barbecue

Dievole has always been renowned for its weekly summer barbecue, which takes place in the Estate’s courtyard, known for centuries as the “Aione”, flanked by the fragrant Rose Garden and wondrous fruit trees.

The barbecue is held every Monday for the entire summer, from June to September, starting at 7.30 pm. The evening is accompanied with live music of a variety of genres, from blues to charleston, swing to jazz.

Guests can enjoy an abundant buffet, starting with the antipasti, including many different kinds of Tuscan cheese and a selection of cold cuts, before moving on to a buffet of two primi and various salads.

The meat is cooked on an large, visible grill, where guests can choose from four types, usually guinea fowl, chicken, beef and pork. Grilled vegetables are also available.

There is also a selection of our wines available each evening. The event comes to a close with a typical homemade dessert, tiramisù.

The location of the barbecue is of course one of the reasons for its fame. In the spring, guests can enjoy a view of thousands of blooming roses, their varieties and colours chosen according to the tastes of an Italian-style garden. And in the summer, they can soak up the warm sun with a fresh glass of wine in hand.
