"Novecento"Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva 2007
Novecento Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% other red grapes which come from the vineyards of Sessina,Massoni and Colombaio.
In order to obtain the best quality these grapes have been harvested by hand by the middle of October.

Ageing
French and American barriques for about 12 months, bottle ageing for further 12 months.
Vinification
Maceration in wooden vats by 8.000 l. for 15 days at 28° after a pre-maceration for 3 days at 5°.
Post-maceration for a week at 28°.
The malo-lactic fermentation starts spontaneously.
Description
Appearance - limpid, deep ruby with purple shade, quite thick.
Aroma - fruity, cherry, black currant and black cherry confiture, lightly spicy with tobacco, chocolate, coffee and vanilla notes.
Taste: dry, warm, soft, quite fresh, tannic, full, quite balanced, very intense and persistent, fine.
Final comments - harmonious, ready, better after 2012.
Suggestions - perfect with meat and ripe cheese or simply for meditation.
Drink at - 20°C, best in decanter, uncork 2 hours before serving.
