IGT Sicilia "Fourplay" 2007
Fourplay is a unique blend of 4 typical grape varieties from Sicily: 25% Nero d'Avola, 25% Nerello mascalese, 25% Frappato, 25% Nerello cappuccio.
A wine that mirrows passion and tradition and seduces with its particular character.

Altitude: lowland and average hills around Sambuca and Menfi (AG)

Training method: Cordon spur
Vineyard density: 3.000 to 4.000 plants per hectare.
Age of vineyard: 10 years.

Average production of one plant:: 3,0 kg.
Period of harvest: mid of September.
Alcohol level: 13,5%
Ageing
3 months of bottle ageing
Vinification
Vinification is made separately for each wine. The grapes are cooled in steel tanks at 10° C for the first 24-30 hours. After that the fermentation process begins and takes around 10 days, frequent fullings are done during this time. The malolattic fermentation is induced and the wine takes a further 6 months ageing in stainless steel tanks.
Description
Colour: ruby red with violet reflex
Fragrance: elegant, floral and fruity. Spicy notes of voilet, jam, pepper, cinnamo and liquorice
Taste: very soft and elegant with sweet tannins. A really full bodied, warm and balanced with a long finish.
Serving suggestion: grilled meat, roastbeef and spicy cheese
Serving Temperature: 18° C
Packaging: 12 bottles ((0.750 lt.) in cardboard case.
