IGT Sicilia "Fourplay" 2008
Fourplay is a unique blend of 4 typical grape varieties of Sicily, Nero d'Avola, Nerello mascalese, Nerello cappuccio and Frappato nero in equal parts.
Wine with tradition and passion, which play their role with warm notes.

Exposure - south, south-east.
Soil - sandy, stony
Growing system - Spur-pruned cordon and guyot
Vineyard density - 3-4.000 plants/ha
Age of vineyard - 10 years.
Yield / ha - 90 q.li.
Yield/plant - 3.0 kg.
Harvest - in the middle of September.
Alcohol level: 13,5%
6 months in stainless-steel vats, 3 months in bottle
Run separately for each grape that is refrigerated in a stainless-steel at 10° for the first 24-30 hours. Later the fermentation, which takes 10 days, is made separately for each wine.
Then malo-lactic fermentation.
Appearance - limpid, deep ruby, quite thick
Aroma - fruity, strawberry, cherry and blackberry confiture, flowery (wilted flowers), lightly spicy
Taste - dry, warm, soft, quite fresh, quite tannic, full, balanced, intense and quite persistent, fine.
Final comments - harmonious, ready
Suggestions - perfect for roast or grill, but fine for any kind of meat or pasta
Drink at - 18° C
